Heritage Impact Assessment “Castles of Augustusburg and Falkenlust at Brühl”

The “Castles Augustusburg and Falkenlust at Brühl” belong to the earliest and finest examples of Rococo-Architecture of the first half of the 18th century in Germany and were inscribed together with their gardens in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984. A new reversing track loop for buses is currently planned in the World Heritage area in order to improve the current traffic situation.

It is the objective of the Heritage impact Assessment to identify and assess the impact of the planned project on the Outstanding Universal value of the World Heritage property. In case of potential adverse impacts mitigation measures should be defined.
