Heritage impact assessment on the planned ropeway in the unesco world heritage property Ephesus, Turkey

There are currently plans for building a new ropeway in the Meryem Ana Nature Park Area, Turkey. The World Heritage property Ephesus, a part of this natural park, is not only important due to its unique archaeologic heritage, it also attracts many pilgrims who visit the House of Virgin Mary. The planned ropeway is meant to facilitate the transport of pilgrims and tourists to the hilltop where the House of Virgin Mary is located. 

The Heritage Impact Assessment will evaluate the impacts of the proposed project on the Outstanding Universal Value of the World Heritage property of Ephesus.
